Prvi službeni posjet britanskog princa Villiama i njegove supruge Kate Middleton jednoj islamskoj zemlji, Pakistanu, započeo je njihovim dolaskom u Islamabad.

Zbog sigurnosnih razloga sve detalje o dogovorenim angažmanima Kensingtonska palača planira objaviti tog dana. Za sigurnost vojvode i vojvotkinje od Cambridgea brine više od tisuću pakistanskih policajaca.

Prilikom slijetanja u zračnu luku par je dočekan na crvenom tepihu gdje su britanskoj miljenici bili uručeni buketi dobrodošlice.

Za tu je prigodu Kate Middleton odabrala tradicionalnu pakistansku odjeću koja se sastojala od duge tunike i hlača, koje je dizajnirala britanska dizajnerica Catherine Walker, te torbicu pakistanskog brenda Zeen.

Modnu kombinaciju Kate je upotpunila klasičnim salonkama i decentnim dijamantnim naušnicama.

U ponedjeljak navečer princ William i Kate posjetili su školu u Islamabadu, a za tu je priliku vojvotkinja nosila plavu tuniku koju je također dizajnirala Catherine Walker, šal brenda Satrangi i naušnice brenda Zeen.
